For over 35 years, Yarwun has been a cornerstone of Gladstone’s industrial sector, operating three nitric acid plants, two ammonium nitrate plants, an emulsion plant, and a sodium cyanide facility.

Attendees will have the opportunity to see how the site’s innovative emissions reduction technology is transforming operations and hear firsthand from a panel of engineers shaping the future of Australian manufacturing.

⚠️ Important: As participants will be touring a working facility there are strict PPE and safety requirements for this event. All attendees will need to wear their own non-black steel cap safety boots (the colour is important), and long-sleeve shirts and full-length trousers. Visitors will also need to complete a short private medical form on arrival at the site that will be reviewed by Orica’s nurse. Please also note that the site is not accessible, so unfortunately this event may not be appropriate if you have mobility restrictions.
